Daily Mini Challenge!!

April 14, 2011 – Yikes!!  sorry can’t seem to catch up here —- so let’s do this for a little while – review all the challenges below and pick one to challenge yourself each day!
April 8, 2011: To really think about you plan for getting in shape this summer – It’s not too far away!!
April 6-7, 2011: Sorry people my mini challenges are going to hell in a hand-basket!! Still not back 100 % so it’s been hard to stay foucused… hmmm today – today – I’m feeling extra happy… so let’s go with that – I want you to think about all the small things that bring joy to your life…. today for me it’s an inner feeling of peace….
April 5, 2011: Mini Challenge: think about the things you love to do and what you need from your body to do them.  Like I LOVE to water ski – Ok – so I’m not great at getting up on one ski – so I get up on two and drop one… I need strong quads, and upper body strength to pull my self up – I think this is pretty much a whole body thing – need your abs tight – arm strength and definitely back… This may be a more exciting way to think about why you workout – to do the fun things in life.
April 1, 2011: The first day of April and my granddaughter’s 1st birthday… Today’s mini challenge is a kitchen cleanse - let take a look to see what kind of junk has crept back in and get it OUT – then replace it with some good healthy food!!

March 28, 2011: Today I had a very pleasant surprise… One of my husband’s client paid us a great compliment by saying that each of us has helped her grow as a person, and because of that she was able to step outside of her comfort zone and do something completely out of character - wow right??  So today’s mini challenge is to think about the one thing you’d love to do that would push you outside of your comfort zone??
March 24 – 25, 2011: Here is a 2 day challenge via our girl Rachel P – The challenge is to log everything that passes your lips for 2 straight days to see if “extras” sneak in. So on Friday – you can post your findings or your can post them daily (just the extras) ….. This should be interesting!!
March 23, 2011: Today’s mini challenge is to share your favorite motivational quote – mine is to “ride the momentum when it comes” which basically means when you have the energy to push yourself – do it…
March 22,2011: Today’s mini challenge is to find a healthy recipe to try – boredom with food is usually the first step to falling off program…I’d love for you to share!
March 21, 2011: Today’s mini challenge is to eat 100 % clean… what does this mean? Well only lean meats, fruits, vegetables, healthy carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa.. you get my drift… your day may look like egg whites with oatmeal for breakfast, snack of apple and pb, lunch salad with loads of veggies and 4 oz of shrimp, snack of almonds and raisins, dinner: 4 oz of chicken, 1/2 cup brown rice and tons of veggies… good luck!!
March 18,2011: Today’s mini Challenge is the Ab 300….. which can be done in parts … 100 reg crunches (chin to ceiling), 100 reverse crunches and 100 clam crunches (heels and toes touching, knees pointed out, hand behind head – then elbows and knees meet in the middle) … Have fun!
March 17, 2011: Today’s mini challenge… to see how many side steps can you do with your Valband (or a resistance band) - remember to keep it low, toes out and tension on band – just step it back and forth – I’ll report back this afternoon :)
March 16, 2011: Let’s find some motivation…. read this and list 5 things that can motivate you….
March 15, 2011: Write a list of all the people who love you…. did this today and it made me feel happy…. Even to have one person truly love you is a gift – yes, even if it’s your mom ;)
March 14, 2011: Take a few minutes for yourself tonight…  after dinner, after the kids go to bed, after whatever – just sit quietly and reflect on all your blessings and feel how that makes you feel…
March 11, 2011: Today’s mini challenge… to pray for those in the path of the tsunami. Wishing safety for all your friends and families that may be touched by it.
March 10, 2011: Today’s mini challenge… how many walking lunges does it take to get around your house? My downstairs is 45 lunges round :)
March 9, 2011: Today’s mini challenge…tinkle, tinkle little star… or the pee challenge – HA … how do you play… check the color of your pee through the day – the goal to drink enough water for it to be as clear as water by the end of the day… I know, a tad bizarre, but a great way to tell if you are getting in enough water.

March 4, 2011: Today’s mini challenge!! Self discovery.. why is being fit important to you? Dig down deep and think of why you want this – you may find some hidden motivation – would love it if you want to share!!
March 3, 2011: Today’s mini challenge!!! VS 20′s … 1 set of 20 forward lunges, vs side lunges, vs reverse lunges and vs curtsy lunges – each leg (ok you can do 10′s if you want) or you can do 5 sets of the 20s through the day for 100!! Around the world baby – for the butt!!
March 2, 2011: Today’s mini challenge – being aware… I want you to write down everything you eat and drink today, at the end of the day – review and acknowledge it :)
March 1, 2011: Today’s mini challenge – self love…. HA! I want you to write down 10 things you like about yourself, and if you’re brave enough – share your favorite with us!!
Feb 28, 2011: today’s mini challenge – sun salutations… 5 if you can… (thanks for the idea MB!) off to get two in now – will get the rest in throughout the day ;)
Feb 25, 2011: Today’s mini challange may be a real challenge for a few – the challenge is to “Take 5″ meaning take time out for yourself today – it can be having a cup of tea in a comfy chair – no TV – no work – no multitasking – feet up a plus… a true break from your normal routine – it can be a bubble bath, it can be reading, it can be streatching and really feeling it (and not in your office Dawn ;-) ) Step away from your normal environment – It can not be a workout – I want you to really take 5 minute to breath and relax… Breath in and out – ahhhhh…
Feb 24, 2011: Today’s mini challenge ladies – one most of us will dread … get your 3 – 5 servings of vegetables in today… good luck – I know I’ll need it!
Feb 23, 2011: hmmm ok – today’s mini challenge…. is to break a sweat… can be a workout, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, yada, yada, a brisk walk or anything – report back in after with what you did … if you can ;-) xoxo
Feb 22, 2011: Hello Ladies – thought it might be fun to do some daily mini challenges in here…  so let’s start with water today – you goal, should you choose to accept it, is to get 80-100oz of water in today… I have 24 oz down already – how about you ?? ;)
