Ok – so yesterday did not go quite as I had planned, although it could have been a lot worse, and has been in past years… I did go back up for seconds on the turkey with a smidge more stuffing and cranberry sauce – then had a small bit of brownie and about 1/16 slice of apple pie but…… later went back for another bit of brownie and 1/2 of an oatmeal raisin cookie – and had to finish a project so I didn’t get my walk in… pooh!  Like they say – the highway to hell is paved with good intentions… The good news…. I did do 45 mins on the elliptical when I got home and did have my dinner planned – hopefully I was able to burn off those extra calories!

Feeling a tad discouraged today – so I decided to look through some of my old youtube videos – boy did this one hit home…. It is exactly what is going on with me now. I guess this just means I need to tighten my belt food wise- because “you can’t out train a bad diet” right?  So all those little things I’ve been eating and drinking have added up big time…. Sometimes you just have to be honest with yourself about what is going on…. because we all know what is “really” going on right?

So the video below was made for the girls in Valerie Waters RCR club and I love her program, but what I want you to take away from this is that regardless of what program you are doing you need to be mindful of what you are putting in you body, day in and day out. You need to do your cardio and your resistant training – what ever that may be for you. I love seeing the results my husband’s girl are having with his boot camp…. Why? Because they, like me with Val, committed to his program, and his food plan and are having the same success that I’ve had. Some people are really into the Rachel Cosgrove type of workout (the book I referenced in the beginning of my video), my point is – you just need to find what works for you and just do it.

Also a friend of mine has talked a lot about bloat recently – she was always saying she felt bloated…. I never really experience bloat, so I didn’t understand what she meant – until now… I’m not sure what I’ve been eating different, but something isn’t agreeing with me – my lower tummy is up inch wise – but it is also kind puffy and hurts on the inside or feels bloated…. So today – I took anything out that has been different than the past and am going to eat super clean today – so. flaxseed out, superfoods out, spinach out, cinnamon out, pocket out… Hopefully that bloated feeling will go away and then I can add stuff back in little by little to see what is going on…

B: Egg whites and green beans
S: Smoothie with only protein and berries
L: Shrimp, salad and 1/3 cup brown rice
S: Cacao nibs, raisins and almonds
D: Lean burger, green bean and baked sweet potato

Tomorrow – going to check the scale… looks like this weekend will have to be a “weekON” as our girl Linda says… 1 cheat meal saturday night – and that’s it… I am determined to get to 135 by Wedneday!   Wish me luck!!
